Miami Beach, Florida (December 1, 2005) – Gold and Silver Medalist Kevin Burnham will present a motivational program to benefit the Antilles School Sailing Team on Friday, December 23rd at 6: oo pm at the St. Thomas Yacht Club, USVI. Burnham will share his unique story of a quest for gold like no other sailor can; his enthusiasm will inspire sailors and athletes of all ages. "The Antilles School Sailing Team has developed a group of great junior sailors. They need funding to be able to travel and compete against the best in the world. Having raced in every Olympic Trials since 1984, I know how important funding is to a successful campaign. I believe it was the biggest obstacle in our campaigns to win a medal. I am happy to be invited to help raise funds for the Antilles School Sailing Team, in the hopes that it will enable them to travel to the US mainland to compete against other high school sailing teams." Anyone interested in sailing, athletics, or the Olympic Games is welcome to attend, including visitors and tourists. Admission is free to children and students. Adults are asked to make a $10 contribution to the Antilles High School Sailing Team.
